Development of business and friendly relations with Hungarian prosecutors.
In the period from 21 to 23 April a visit of delegation of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine to the capital of the Hungarian Republic, Budapest city, took place.
The Ukrainian delegation consisted of the Vice-President of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors, the Head of Main Department of the Military Prosecutor's Offices of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine Yuriy Viytyev and the members of Association - First Deputy of Military Prosecutor of the Central region of Ukraine Oleksiy Zelinskyi and Deputy Head of Department for Supervision over Observance of Laws on State’s rights, freedoms and interests of the of Main Department of Military Prosecutor's Offices Valeriy Golub.
From the Hungarian side the delegation was headed by the Deputy Prosecutor General, Chief Military Prosecutor, Mr. Arpad Kovacs. The Ukrainian prosecutors were also warmly welcomed by Deputy Head of Main Department of Military Affairs Mr. Laszlo Venczl, Head of Human Resources and Information Division, Mr. Lajos Konc, prosecutor of the Main Military Prosecutor's Office, Mr. Antal Ettig.
During the visit a meeting between the Ukrainian delegation and the Prosecutor General of the Hungarian Republic Mr. Tomas Kovacs took place, in the course of which the questions of the role and place of the military prosecutor’s office in strengthening the law and order in the Armed Forces, and the ways of strengthening the cooperation of the prosecuting bodies and associations of prosecutors of the two countries were discussed in a friendly atmosphere.
During the meeting between the Ukrainian delegation and the heads of the Main Military Prosecutor's Office of Hungary an exchange of information on the legislative bases of functioning of the Hungarian Military Prosecutor's Office of Hungary and Ukraine took place, their structure and number, tasks and main directions of activity, and also actual questions on the organization of prosecution - investigation activity were discussed.
On April, 22 the Ukrainian delegation was hosted by the Head of the General Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence of the Hungarian Republic Mr. Andras Gavril. With view of more detailed acquaintance with organization of prosecutor's activity in Hungary the Ukrainian delegation visited Budapest Military Prosecutor's Office, which is headed by Mr. Antal Gorvat.
By ascertaining the large profit of communication between colleagues from different countries of the world, the Ukrainian and Hungarian prosecutors expressed hope for continuation of close and fruitful cooperation and informal friendly communication. The Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors support and will support in future the efforts of the Ukrainian prosecutors in this direction.
