By the Executive Order of the President of Ukraine №688/2010 dated June 15th, 2010, Serhiy Markiyanovych Vynokurov, the First Vice-President of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors, was appointed to the position of Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.

    Serhiy Markiyanovych has devoted almost 40 years to the prosecution bodies, consequently taking the positions from the regional prosecution’s Investigator to the Senior Deputy General Prosecutor of Ukraine.

    The Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, the State Top Counselor of Justice, the First Vice-President of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors, the member of International Association of Prosecutors, Deputy Head Union of Jurists of Ukraine, the Honored Prosecutor of Ukraine, III and II grade Order of Merit Commander awarded the letters of honor by the Presidia of Verkhovna Rada of Ukrainian SSR and Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the “Individual Gun Award” by the President of Ukraine – all the above titles and awards clearly testify about the exceptional diligence and professionalism of Prosecutor Vynokurov.

    Although, for the thousands of prosecutors the most pleasant and significant fact is that Serhiy Markiyanovych has always been a true friend, a fair and sensible chief entirely devoted to the noble work of serving people and law, no matter what his position and in spite of any professional and personal circumstances.

    And it is for this reason when we congratulate Serhiy Markiyanovych on his appointment for a new responsible state position, we also congratulate the whole team of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on their having a real patriot, a great professional, a wise and tolerant person on the staff of this respected institution.

    We have no doubt that the Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Serhiy Vynokurov will honorably meet the great expectations and trust of the State, since the main purpose of the Court’s activity – to provide for the constitutional lawfulness and to sustain the domination of the Constitution of Ukraine – has been his permanent professional goal for many decades.

    As for us, the officers of the prosecution bodies of Ukraine and the members of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors, we will know that Serhiy Markiyanovych Vynokurov is one of us, no matter what position he takes and no matter where he works. And thousands of his apprentices and followers will do their best to be worthy of their teacher and the high rank of prosecutor.
