The Constitution of the IAP. Article of 11. The President
 

 

 

 

 

11.1. There shall be the President of the Association.
 
11.2. The President shall normally preside at the meetings of the Executive Committee and at the convocations of the General Meeting. The Executive Committee may, in the absence at a meeting of the President, or if the President so requests, appoint a Vice-President or, if none is available or willing to accept such appointment, one of its other members, to preside at a meeting or at part of a meeting of the Executive Committee. The General Meeting may in the absence of the President, or if the President so requests, appoint one of the Vice-Presidents or the Secretary General to preside at the General Meeting or at part of the General Meeting.
 
11.3. The President shall be elected by the General Meeting. Pursuant to paragraph 4 he shall be elected on appointment of the Executive Committee. He shall serve for a term beginning immediately after the termination of the General Meeting, at which he has been elected and ending at the termination of the 3rd Annual General Meeting, thereafter he shall be eligible for re-election.
 
11.4. Nominations for election as President shall be made by less than 10% of the organizational members or by not less than one hundred individual members. Such nominations shall be submitted to the Secretary General at least three months before the General Meeting, at which the election is due to be made. If no such nomination is received, the person nominated by the Executive Committee shall be deemed to be elected.
 
11.5. The Executive Committee, by a resolution adopted by a two thirds majority of its members, may recommend to the General Meeting the dismissal of the President, if the continuation of his presidency is considered detrimental to the Association.
 
11.6. In the event of dismissal, resignation or death of the President, the Executive Committee shall appoint one of its members, who shall serve as the President until the expiration of the term of the appointment of his predecessor.
 

11.7. The President may be assisted by the staff, located in his place of residence. The annual budget of Association shall foresee the expenses of the staff of the President and any charges, borne at execution of its duties.
