On the 26th of April, 2012, on the Day of the 26th anniversary of Chornobyl tragedy the meeting of the participants of elimination of consequences of the Chornobyl accident, whoworked in the public prosecution bodies in those tragic days for Ukraine, took place.

During this meeting it was remembered how the prosecutors had performed their duties with honourin spite of extreme conditions they had been put in. The participants of the meeting recollected also their colleagues who had died before their time having got an enormousradiation dose.

By order of the Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors the President of Association OleksandrShynalskyi presented decorations “For Devotion to the Public Prosecution Bodies”. The decoration were presented to Popov V.I., Goshovskyi O.M., MorozovYu.O., Rak O.M., Kolyada V.I., PoltavetsYu.P., Polishchuk D.S., Grytsaenko L.R., Zusik V.K., Grygorenko V.V., Polishchuk V.D., Stepanenko V.V., Yankovskyi S.I., Nepotribnyi V.L., MelnykV.Ya., Osadchuk P.M., Ovdienko F.F., Shevchenko O.V., Yelfimov I.P.
