In early December 2009 the General Prosecution of Ukraine was addressed by the People’s Deputies of Ukraine questioning the possibility of violations in the activity of All-Ukrainian Public Organization – “Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors” and public organization “Ukrainian Prosecutors Association”.

     According to the direction of the General Prosecutor of Ukraine, the commission was formed by the responsible officers of the General Prosecution body, and within the period from December 2009 till January 2010 they have been inspecting and verifying the legitimacy of the above-mentioned public organizations’ activities.

    According to the commission’s inspection results, no violations of criminal and administrative corruption legislation were found – either in the activities of “Ukrainian Prosecutors Association” organizations, or in the activity of their leader – Shinalskyi О.І.

    In the same period of time, an independent revision of financial and economic activity of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors was carried out by order of the General Prosecution of Ukraine. The activity of the mentioned public organizations was inspected by the experts of Kiev Science and Research Legal Expertise Institute at Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. According to their conclusions, the financial and economic activity of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors completely corresponds the authorized tasks and the norms of the effective legislation of Ukraine.

    Therefore, upon the thorough inspections, the corresponding state institutions have confirmed the results and conclusions made by the delegates at General Gathering of Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors who had unanimously approved the reports of the President, the Secretary and the Revision Commission on December 4, 2009.
