On the 31st of March-2nd of April the meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Organization of Anti-Corruption Authorities took place in Barcelona, Spain
 

             On the 31st of March-2nd of April the meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Organization of Anti-Corruption Authorities took place in Barcelona, Spain.

 

25 members of the Executive Committee of IAACA took part in this event. At the beginning of the meeting the participants were addressed complimentary speeches by the Vice-president of the Parliament of Catalonia Mr. Lluís Maria Corominas Díaz, by the Attorney General of Spain Mr. Eduardo Torres-Dulce, by Mr. Daniel de Alfonso Laso, Director of the Anti-Fraud Office of Catalonia of Spain; by Mr. Dimitri Vlassis, Chief of the Corruption and Economic Crime Branch of the United Nations Office and by the Prosecutor General of the People's Republic of China Mr. Cao Jianming.

 

During two working days the IAACA Executive Committee members resumed activities of the year 2013 and examined questions regarding organization of the 8th Annual Conference of IAACA which would take place on the 1st -3rd October in Astana, Kazakhstan.

 

This year the IAACA Annual Seminar will have different format. 30 participants from 10 countries, on the 8th- 14th of June (the first group) and on the 20th -28th of June (the second group), will exchange experience in combating corruption. They will also study under the key specialists from different countries of the world in the questions of anti-corruption drive.

 

The Executive Committee members discussed and agreed the Association’s working plan for the year 2014.

 

The President of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors and the IAACA Executive Committee member Mr. Oleksandr Shynalskyi took part in the meeting.
