On December, 15, 1917 Procuratoria of the General Court of Ukraine was established in the Ukrainian National Republic. Most of our colleagues and scientists on history believe that this is the date, since which we can talk about the existence of the Ukrainian Prosecution Service. Therefore, on December, 15, 2007 the Prosecution Service of Ukraine celebrated its 90th anniversary.
By celebrating this prominent date in the history of the Ukrainian prosecutor's office, the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors took a decision to establish and issue the anniversary medal «90 years to the Prosecution Service of Ukraine».
By way of this medal veterans, former and actual employees of the Prosecution Service of Ukraine, who raise, by their fair and self-sacrificing service, the authority of the prosecutor’s office and prosecutors, who work in fruitful manner in order to teach the new generation of prosecutors in the spirit of the best prosecutor’s traditions, will be rewarded by this medal.
The President of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors Oleksandr Shynalskyi handed the anniversary medal, among the first, to the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, and the present Counselor of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, State Counselor of Justice of Ukraine Mykhaylo Oleksiyovych Potebenko.
In the nearest future these medals will be sent to all the regions of our State for rewarding of the members of Association and the employees of the prosecutor’s office, who, along with perfect fulfilment of official duties, were marked in the matter of realization of statutory aims and tasks of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors.
