On August 19-22, 2018, the delegation of the prosecutors from Guangdong province of the People's Republic of China, headed by the First Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Guangdong Provincial Prosecution Service, Mr. Chen Wu, visited Kyiv at the invitation of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors.
During the visit, the colleagues from China got acquainted with the work of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors and had the opportunity to communicate and exchange experiences with the President of the UAP Oleksandr Shynalskyi and the Vice-President of the UAP, Vasyl Chernikov.
The delegation of Chinese prosecutors also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the National Prosecution Academy of Ukraine and the Qualifications and Disciplinary Commission of Public Prosecutors (QDCP). Victor Shemchuk, deputy head of the QDCP, told his colleagues about the procedure of the establishment and functioning of the QDCP. During the conversation, the parties expressed their mutual wishes for further study of work experience and exchange of information.
On August 21, 2018, the delegation of prosecutors from the PRC held a meeting in the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and had the opportunity to review the work of the Kyiv Local Prosecutor's Office No. 5.
After the visit, Chinese colleagues expressed their hope for further cooperation with the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors and invited their Ukrainian counterparts to visit China.
