The Executive Committee of the International Association of Prosecutors met on May 4-5, 2012, on Brijuni Island, the Republic of Croatia. 24 members of the Executive Committee of IAP took part in the work of the meeting. The Prosecutor General of the Republic of CroatiaMladenBajic participatedin the work of the Executive Committee. During two days the Executive Committee has reviewed current issues and plans concerning future activities of the Association.

Special attention was paid to the question of holding of theAnnual Conference and General Meeting of IAP in 2013. There were two claimants.  Offices of the Attorney General of the Republic of Ireland (Dublin) and of the Russian Federation (Moscow) pretended to be conveners. The representative of the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and the member of the Executive Committee of IAP Oleksandr Zvyagintsev proposed more favourable conditions for the Annual Conference and General Meetingconducting. According to results of a secret vote the Executive Committee members gave their preference to Moscow.

During the meeting the Executive Committee members met with the President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipovic. The President declared that this was a great privilege to welcome such an esteemed gatheringin their country.
