On 30 March -2 April, 2012, the Executive Committee meeting of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities took place in Arusha, the United Republic of Tanzania.

 

During the meeting chaired by the President of the IAACA, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Cao Jianming, the Executive Committee summed upAssociation activities in 2011 and approved the work schedule for 2012. The President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete took part in the meeting and addressed the Executive committee members with a speech.

 

During the meeting it was approved that the Fourth IAACA Seminar would be held from 27th to 30th June, 2012 in Dalian, P.R China and that the Annual Conference and General Meetingof the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities would take place on 4-7 October, 2012, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The theme of the Conference was determined as “The United Nations Convention against Corruption Chapter VI: Technical Assistance and Information Exchange”.

 

Proposals of the Independent Commission against Corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong as for the further development of the Association were also discussed during the meeting.

 

Oleksandr Shynalskyi, the President of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors, the member of the IAACA Executive Committee, took part in the Executive Committee meeting.
