On March 14, 2020, the General Meeting of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors was held. The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the International Association of Prosecutors Mr. Han J. Moraal and the Senator of the International Association of Prosecutors, Member of Parliament of the Province of Groningen, the Netherlands, Mr. Henk Marquart Scholtz.

   The IAP Secretary-General, Mr. Han Moraal, addressed the audience with a welcome speech from the International Association of Prosecutors, and noted that the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors, which is one of the respected members of the IAP, has made a significant contribution to the work of the international prosecutors’ community during its existence.

 The IAP Senator Mr. Henk Marquart Scholtz noted in his speech the active role of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors in evolvement of the IAP and promoting the International Association of Prosecutors in the world.

 The participants of the meeting listened to the reports of the President of the UAP Oleksandr Shynalskyi and the Secretary of the Association Petro Shaganenko.

 The reports of the President and the Secretary of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors were approved by the meeting participants.

 The President, Secretary and members of the Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors were elected at the meeting.

 Oleksandr Shynalskyi was elected the UAP President.

 Petro Shaganenko was elected the UAP Secretary.

 New members of the Executive Committee of the UAP are: Oleksii Ipatov, Oleksandr Pikul, Vasyl Chernikov, Oksana Kondratyuk, Valeriia Melnyk, Oleksandr Burmak, Oleksandr Kovalenko, Igor Artemenko, Grygorii Gryn, Vasyl Dragovoz, Volodymyr Grytsenko, Oleksandr Kolesnichenko, Seghii Nizhynskyi, Ihor Kuharchuk, Oleksandr Rudenko and Oksana Khablova.

 The participants of the meeting made a decision to amend the Statute of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors”.

 At the General Meeting the awards of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors" were presented to:

• Han J. Moraal, “The Honorary Distinction of the UAP”

• Henk Marquart Scholtz “The Pride of the UAP”

• Oleksandr Pikul “The Honorary Distinction of the UAP”

• Valeriia Melnyk “The Honorary Distinction of the UAP”

 It was decided to admit to the ranks of the Association the Senator of the International Association of Prosecutors Mr. James Hamilton as an honorary member.

Roundtable on the theme “Public Prosecution in Justice System” initiated by the UAP ExCo

 On March 14, 2020, a round table on "Prosecutor's Office for Justice" was held. The event was organized on the initiative of the Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors.

   The round table was attended by representatives of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, regional and district prosecutors' offices, the National Prosecution Academy of Ukraine, members of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors, as well as a senator of the International Association of Prosecutors, Member of the Parliament of Groningen, the Netherlands, Mr. Henk Marquart Scholtz.

 The participants of the round table expressed their suggestions and exchanged views on the proposed topic of discussion.

 The materials of the roundtable will be available on the site of the Ukrainian Association of Prosecutors.
